Penny J. Gonzales is a Santa Paula-based, retired veterinary professional who has lived in the area for over 60 years. Penny always had a love for animals and realized during her childhood that she wanted to work with animals professionally. Penny has committed 30 years to caring for a variety of species in her profession. Over the course of her time in animal hospitals, Ms. Gonzales has served in nearly every position under the sun, including mopping floors, cleaning cages, as a veterinary technician, and veterinary hospital manager.
Penny’s veterinary career has been underlined by a commitment to animal advocacy and volunteer work. In the past, she has raised funds for Santa Paula K9’s and has volunteered her time at her county’s rabies vaccination clinic for 25 years. Penny has built a reputation within the veterinary space as a professional who is extremely dedicated to providing high quality care for animals of all types and holds extensive knowledge on various veterinary specialties.
Penny is the proud parent of three daughters and a grandmom to eight grandkids who she dedicates her time to in retirement. Always an animal lover, Ms. Gonzales lives with two Doberman pinchers, a cocker spaniel, two cats, and a pond full of fish.
